Needless to say that I was very chuffed when  our 3 year old Border Collie Sky became the front cover model of the August issue of Caninelife Magazine!

Blue Bell Boy… Charlie. Gosh isnt he just such a looker! I love it when my models are behaving well and Chralie certainly made no exception to this!

B&B

Nah, not the sort of B&B what you are thinking of just now. This is Bramble & Blue, two absolutely stunning Scottish Deer Hounds. Blue was awarded crufts reserve and Bramble will attend crufts.

It was the fisrt time I took portraits of this breed, but I can absolutely see why folks are falling for those beautiful dogs. I want one too!!!!!!!!!

Greenland K9 Training Fun Dogshow

Yesterday I was asked to shoot the Greenland K9 Training ( www.greenlandk9training.co.uk ) dog show where our little girl was doing her first ever duty as a show judge.

After some very heavy downpours the day before the sun cam out and shone all morning, everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. In the puppy class there were lots of dogs in all colours, shapes and sizes and the advanced and gundog class has put on a very impressive training display!

I took some portraits of the scottish deerhound Blue, who was a cruts reserve once. What a stunning dog! Again, this breed was a first for me to shoot…

Rocky

Yesterday I shot little (and I mean little as he was only 8lb) Rocky. He was a fantastic model and was behaving really, really well! Rocky was such a credit to his mum Lynda! Well done folks!

I am still convinced that Rocky tried to sneak home with me in my camera bag after the portrait session…

Oh Deer!

I just love to shoot deer with my canon (camera that is) In 2008 I was awarded SWPP UK Wildlife Photographer of the Year for this shot, which also won me my first full format camera a Canon 5D (I have upgraded to a 5Dmk2 meanwhile though)

Since then my my photographic appetite to do more shots of those magnificent animals grew and I am happy that I have lots of various shots of deer in my portfolio now. Here is just a small selection.
